DESTROYER readies "Trouble in Dreams" for March!
Dan Bejar and friends return on March 18th 2008 with his 8th studio album as Destroyer.
Trouble in Dreams continues Bejar’s lyrical and musical assault on all that is stagnant and stale in modern popular music. His is a body of work that consistently flouts convention in favor of musical leaps of faith, statements of purpose cloaked in subterfuge, and the joyous refrain of an optimist’s heart cloaked in cynicism.
Anthems sprawl with shifting layers of guitar and piano, spinning just to the edge of chaos and back, while whispers in the corners reference fantasical realms and mysterious women who may or may not approve of our interloping voyeurism. It’s all magical and terrifying and life-affirming. It is as it should be. It is Destroyer.

Hello, WYE OAK!
Merge Records will release the debut full-length, If Children, from Baltimore’s newly christened Wye Oak on April 8, 2008!
Wye Oak (formerly known as Monarch) are Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack. Jenn & Andy have been playing music together and apart in Baltimore, MD, and chose their name from the honorary state tree of Maryland.
If Children is the culmination of many months of recording, polishing and perfecting to achieve what Any Given Tuesday best described as, “. .. . mingling in a room full of shoegaze, alt-country, folk, and noise, shaking hands, kissing cheeks, and making friends with everyone.”
If Children is an exuberant debut – noisy and restrained in turn, Wye Oak describe their philosophy: "We'd like to think that if a song is good enough, it'll stand on its own regardless of how much noise you pile on top. On the other hand, we do like noise." Listen, and we think you will have to agree!
If Children will be released on April 8, 2008. Wye Oak head south this weekend, and plan to tour throughout 2008 including a stop at SXSW!
